Obituary of Robert G. Brown
Amherst, NH
Robert Graham Brown, 76, of Amherst, New Hampshire, died suddenly at home on March 10, 2017, after a short illness.
He was predeceased by his wife of 32 years, Mary Rebecca Brown, in 2006. Bob is survived by his sisters Linda Brown Forcellina, Elizabeth and Candace Brown; niece Alyse Forcellina; nephew Christopher Forcellina; and grand niece, Annabella Ciraco.
Born in Norwalk, Connecticut on May 4, 1940, Bob attended local schools and graduated from Norwalk High School in 1958. After that, he attended the University of Connecticut.
Bob was retired from Robert N. Karpp Company in Boston where he was a representative for structural steel for more than 20 years. He was a longtime lover of Brittany Spaniels, training them for the hunting and fishing trips he loved.
A history major in college, Bob had a lifetime interest in military history and visited many Revolutionary War sites. In fact, he grew up in a Revolutionary era home across from the Green where troops had trained. He often traveled, especially enjoying the Royal Edinburgh Tattoo in Scotland the Octoberfest in Germany.
Bob spent Christmas in Norwalk with his family, always remembering to visit the memorable sites of his childhood and longtime friends.
A private graveside service was held on Friday, June 09, 2017 in Willowbrook Cemetery. Robert was interred alongside his beloved wife, Mary in the family estate.
