Obituary of James J. Patchen, Jr.

NORWALK, CONN James J. Patchen, Jr., husband of Patricia Patchen passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Norwalk Hospital surrounded by his family and friends. Mr. Patchen was born on March 28th, 1945, in Norwalk – the son of the late Marie Greco Patchen and James, J. Patchen, Sr. Mr. Patchen attended Brien McMahon High School, graduating class of 1964 and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He later became a liquor salesman and worked as a bartender at St. Ann’s and was a musician. Mr. Patchen is survived by his wife Patricia, aunt Katherine Greco, sisters-in-law Sharon Pote and Gail Smith, brother-in-law Shawn Horton, grandson Michael, and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 27, from 4 to 8 PM at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 28, at 10:00 AM at St. Philip Church, 1 Father Conlon Place, Norwalk. Burial will follow at Willowbrook Cemetery, 395 Main Street, Westport, CT.
