Stanley Irving Brody, 78, of Horsham, Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday, September 3rd, 2023 in Bethel, Connecticut.
Stanley was born in Portland, Maine to Celeste Brody (Nelko) and Martin Brody. He and his family moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he graduated from Cheltenham High School in 1963 and went on to earn a Business degree from Temple University. He honorably served in the United States Air Force during 1967 to 1973. He went on to work with his father in the family business as a Dry Cleaning Supplies Salesman, eventually taking over the multigenerational company as Stan Brody Supply. He proudly raised his three children on his own in Horsham, Pennsylvania. Earlier this year he moved to Connecticut to be closer to his daughter, Amber, and her family. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, taking care of his cat, Abe, researching his ancestry, and following the news of the day. He also enjoyed working and only closed down the family business this past February.
Stanley is survived by his children, Jordan Brody of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Amber Brody (Jeffrey Gardere) of Weston, Connecticut; and Amanda Freeman (Eric) of Vienna, Austria; his seven grandchildren: Brody, Nova, Reina, Judah, Liana, Tallulah, and Violet. Stanley is also survived by his previous wife, Vicki (Lang) Guilliams; Life Partner, Sheila; brother, Daniel and his nieces and nephews: Everett, Corbett, Lauren, and Adam. He was predeceased by his sister, Suzanne; Father, Martin; and Mother, Celeste.
Relatives and friends will be received by his family for graveside funeral services on Wednesday, September 6th at 9:30am at Willowbrook Cemetery in Westport, CT.
