Obituary of Jeanne L. McInnis

WESTON, CONN Jeanne Louise (Sharrow) McInnis, age 88, passed away comfortably with loved ones present on March 15, 2024 at The Greens at Cannondale in Wilton, CT, where she had been residing since August 2022. She was born in Detroit, MI on July 23, 1935 and had lived in Weston, CT since 1970. Jeanne was a long-time sales consultant for Ethan Allen in Wilton, CT before retiring. Jeanne was very proud of her award-winning track record at Ethan Allen, where she found it natural to do the extra things that led to her successful career in retail sales. After retiring, she enjoyed being with her family and taking in the flora and fauna around her home. Jeanne also liked monitoring and discussing politics and world events. But her greatest love was for music of all types and she amazed many, including professional musicians, with her ability to hear and sing in perfect pitch. Jeanne is survived by her three children, Tim (Lou Anne) , Lisa (Rob Everich) and Dann (Kathy); seven grandchildren, Julia McInnis, Alexandra McInnis, Colette Blish Sedacca, Adam Blish, Kevin McInnis, Kerri Peregrim and Kelli Godejohn; and six great grandchildren, Braxton McInnis, Bennett Sedacca, Eloise Sedacca, Wesley Peregrim, Emilia Peregrim and Danni Godejohn. She is also survived by her younger sister Eleanor Sharrow, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. After moving to The Greens, Jeanne also developed a wonderful friendship with fellow resident Phyllis Best. Jeanne was preceded in death by her son Michael, parents, Vera (Nelson) and Stewart Sharrow, older sister Suzanne Trapp and second husband, John Bilanchuk. Her first marriage to Allan McInnis ended in divorce. Jeanne will be greatly missed by those who were graced and moved by her beauty, charm and candor. The family will hold a memorial service for immediate family members and asks that any donations in honor of Jeanne be sent to the Ridgefield Visiting Nurses Association (Hospice Division), the Greens at Cannondale, or a charity of your choice. She will be interred at Willowbrook Cemetery in Westport, CT. Arrangements are being handled by Nutmeg State Cremation Society-104 Myrtle Avenue Stamford, CT 06902
